Christ Episcopal Church, North Hills is closing in on 200 years of service to the Pittsburgh region. Founded in 1831 in Allegheny City (now Pittsburgh’s “North Side”), the parish predates the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh of which it is a part.
In the early-1950’s as Pittsburgh’s suburbs began to grow, the members of Christ Church were moving northward. It was decided the parish needed to relocate – especially since there were (and still are) several Episcopal parishes within a short distance. Today we serve the many communities within the North Hills and beyond as the area has expanded even farther out from the neighborhoods which took us out of the city limits all those years ago.
We invite you to learn more about the parish, past and present, throughout these pages. Of course we invite you to check us out either virtually via our livestreams and, of course, in person! We look forward to meeting you very soon!
